This week it's short and sweet. Great record, great band, and great tour (especially since they're playing right by the Flea office February 8th).

Hailing from Saratoga Springs, NY Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel make up this powerful duo. Their record is like listening to an electronic, hip-hop, shogaze, soul, pop orchestra with entrancing melodies. Phanotogram are releasing their new record "Eyelid Movies" (Barsuk, RedEye) due out Feb. 9th. Pitchfork has already expressed their anticipation and we think you should follow suit.

Did you see Phantogram at Starbucks a couple weeks ago? Starbucks "Pick of the Week" gave away Phantograms lead single to 160,000 customers. Now, now don't worry, we're taking care of you too. We want to let you know you can have the same things as Starbucks. No, not those obnoxious single-serving coffee powders... We can get you an MP3 of the single Mouthful of Diamonds for you to stream on your website or newsletters.

Phantogram will also be appearing on NPR's Exclusive First Listen where the record will be streamed in full on NPR.org from Feb 2nd to 9th.
