Hi Everyone,

We've finally seen winter! New England has actual snow on the ground allowing us to now fit in with the rest of the country who seem to be getting slaughtered with the white stuff this year. Snow in the south? Really? What do they do to get away from it, move south...er? If you southern-type want to know how to make a proper snow beer cooler hit me up. The snow can be your friend, too.

Rocky Votolato is releasing a new record called "True Devotion" (Barsuk|RedEye) due out February, 23rd. We're pretty stoked for the record, it seems to pop up on our office playlist on a daily basis. Check out below for some details and tour dates, because you know we LOVE sending you to shows.

Also on February, 23rd, Title Tracks are releasing their new record ""It Was Easy" (Ernest Jenning|The Orchard) and Phantogram are releasing vinyl + download card through Ghostly Int'l for their new record "Eyelid Movies". Details for both records below with tour dates.

And we're off...

Rocky

Those of you who know of Rocky have probably been with him since the Suicide Medicine days back in 2003. Rocky's latest two releases as a solo artist, Makers (2006, Barsuk) and The Brag & Cuss (2007, Barsuk), found him exploring and paying homage to the folk and country music that shaped his early life in Texas. He proves with the release of True Devotion that simplistic writing can be just as bold and effective as a full production.
You can get an exclusive pre-release stream from Paste Magaine by clicking Here.
"[True Devotion] is a passionate, stripped down, and mostly acoustic reflection on moments from his current life; showing us where he is, where he has just come from, and where he is going." (Barsuk.com)

Also out on February 23rd for your listening pleasure we have "It Was Easy" by Washington DC band Title Tracks. Out on Ernest Jenning Records (The Orchard). The eleven songs on It Was Easy have been brewing since 2008. Title Tracks is the product of Former Q and Not U's John Davis
"[his] songs are upbeat, often poppy numbers that combine guitar and keyboard melodies for sounds that wouldn't have seemed out of place on a California beach in the 1960s, or an Ohio home recording studio in the early 1990s"(dcist.com).
"The mix of super hooky melodies and wiry post-punk guitars is a winner" (blog.allmusic.com).
Be sure to check them out as Title Tracks tour dates below.

Phantogram "Eyelid Movies" VINYL [02.23.10]

Our new friends at the label Ghostly International (Revolver, Carrot Top) are releasing the vinyl (comes with a download card w/ a bonus track!) for Phantogram's newly-beloved "Eyelid Movies". The packaging is nothing less than deluxe either with an art sleeve and a thick inner art jacket insert. Trust us, it leaves nothing to be desired. This vinyl pressing will be limited to only 1,000 copies. We suggest you order enough to hold you over for… well, forever really. The CD version of "Eyelid Movies" is of course available from Barsuk (RedEye). Feel free to check out this review from AbsolutePunk.net.

"Brimming with palpable sexual tension. There had better be a sequel." (★★★★) Alternative Press
