Hello again,

AJ just informed me he read an article that says days are now shorter because of the earthquake in Chili. No kidding, I present to you EXHIBIT A. I'm sure you're in as much of a panic as I am. Limited time in your day means you'll have to focus more on the important things. I can't stress enough how valuable the time you and your beer spend together is. I know I'll never take mine for granted again.

If you'll now be spending more time with your loved ones (beer), like me, you'll probably want to do it where it's socially acceptable, like a show... and not your mother-in-laws. Check out the updated tour list below and let us know if you want to go to one. We'll hook it up.

Once a year our local brewer releases a Porter called 'Kate the Great'. People start lining up at midnight the night before to get the opportunity to enjoy Kate's glory off tap. This year, we missed out. AJ blames our forgetfulness, Jo, the power outage and her crankiness. I choose to blame the shorter day because of the earthquake. Way to go, science.

Alright, let's get down to business. The Low Anthem released "Oh My God, Charlie Darwin" on Nonesuch (WEA) in 2009. They are on tour with The Avett Brothers right now, and just after will be embarking on their first headline tour ever (dates below)! Nonesuch will be releasing a 7" around the tour. We just sent out CD promos. The LP is now readily available. Check out the write-up and tour dates below, pop in the promo we sent you, and use your valuable days appropriately*

*Cleaning up your messes from the night before

We'll also quickly introduce you to our good friends at Alphabet Arm so that you can have something else to look at online when you're not doing work at work.

Ooh, and check out Pitchfork's review of the new Phantogram record "Eyelid Movies" HERE
“Try ignoring Eyelid Movies too long, and something will reach out and shake you. A sumptuous, seductive record.” - Pitchfork (7.5)

The Low Anthem's "Oh My God, Charlie Darwin" was one of our favorite records of last year. Think we’re just sayin’ that to sound cool? Have a look at our top 10’s email from December (HERE)… and suck it .

Alphabet

So since this is a short newsletter for us this week, we figured we'd take a minute to pimp out our good friends and neighbors at Alphabet Arm Design in Boston - just for fun. And cause we love em. We've known of these guys for years and have had the recent pleasure of working on a couple different things together with them. They do impeccable work and are all around great dudes and dudettes. If anyone needs any new design work done, or just has some time to kill and wants to spend some time on a website looking at really fun graphics, www.alphabetarm.com is the place for you! And no, this isn't a paid advertisement, but yes, they totally owe us a beer for this.
