YEP ROC RECORDS |

|
We started talking to one of our favorite labels, Yep Roc, at SXSW and we immediately noticed they have a ton of Indie Rock that compliments their Americana catalog. We think you should take notice too because they are way more than an Americana label. First off, Yep Roc's distribution is set up through our good friends at Red Eye. There is a John Doe + the Sadies release on 4/14 titled "Country Club" (more on tha soon), followed by a band we know and love, Los Straitjackets, who are releasing a record on 4/28. Also be on the look out for Liam Finn, and from Flea's "you heard it first |

understated vocals, they build a consistent mood over the album’s 12 songs" (dangerbirdrecords.com). Here Anonymous is twelve songs from the Eulogies as you've come to expect; "melancholy music that’s upbeat, a record of specific personal intent that speaks to us all" (dangerbirdrecords.com). Catch Eulogies this spring as they have tours with the Dears and with Middle Distance Runner. And if you can't get out to a show, you can at least follow them on Twitter (twitter.com/eulogiesmusic) Eulogies Tour Dates w/ Middle Distance Runner

OTHER LIVES: "Other Lives" [4/7] |

|
As we mentioned in the last FleaMail, TBD Records is putting out a new release from Other Lives. Maybe you've caught their first single, "Black Tapes" during an episode of Ugly Betty or Grey's Anatomy (its ok- we all have guilty pleasures!) or caught up with them when they were a featured artist on Myspace music. Either way, they performed an awesome Leonard Cohen cover at SXSW last week. Click on the video below to check it out. |
