Hi Everyone, Well, we all came to work in our respective canoes and kayaks today as it is raining in New England AGAIN. I had an interesting conversation with a friend from California who asked if we were getting inclement weather. I said we're getting what's coming up from New York this week. After a long pause he asked me where New Hampshire actually was and if it was in the state of New England... Yup. So, RECORD STORE DAY is upon us! How will you be spending your April 17th? We'll be in our favorite local record stores grabbing all the fancy limited edition things we can find. Below is a list of all the cool (and possibly limited edition) stuff you can get for your customers. Please let us know if you would like album art or anything else for these titles so that you can give them a little extra web-love. You know we love you for doing that. So how did you do with Death Cab For Cutie's (grammy nominated...jus' sayin') Open Door E.P.? Did you know that our friends at Barsuk (RedEye) are putting out the vinyl (04.06)? We're sure this will be a quick mover, so you may want to bring in a couple extra for safe measure. If you've ordered Plants & Animals' "La La Land" on LP, you may have noticed that you got your records a little early. Just wanted to remind you that is because it is a special Record Store Day piece and is limited (QTY.500). We'll have a full write-up of Plant's new record (due out 4/20) for you next week. The record will be available from Secret City Records (Caroline). If anyone needs us we'll be stocking up on beer and snackey cakes to ride out the storm. Cheers |
