Hello Everyone!

Had my first summer beer last night: Sam Summer. Not totally into the Sam Adam's line, but with a slice of fruit on the side served by a scantily clad waitress on the docks it's hard to argue with.

If you haven't had a chance to enjoy a summer brew yet, do so to the sounds of Nada Surf's new one-off covers record "if i had a hi-fi" (Mardev | ADA). Some of you may remember this as a Record Store Day piece on CD. We're stoked to tell you this record is now slated for release on CD And LP June 8th. Details available below.

Also, pop in the new (weather-appropriately-titled) Hot Hot Heat. Their new record "Future Breeds" is out from our friends at Dangerbird (ADA) on June 8th as well. Details on that record are also below.

NADA SURF "if i had a hi fi" [06.08]

The guys of Nada Surf brought you a very special treat for Record Store Day 2010.  Their covers record 'if i had a hi fi' was available as one of RSD's exclusive CDs.  Most of you were lucky enough to get it and sell out of it.  Those of you who weren't able to get it in have your chance now! 
Nada Surf's one-off release on their own label, Mardev Records (ADA) June 8th, 'if I had a hi fi' is a collection of 12 covers available on CD and now available on LP (with 3 additional tracks not on the CD)! Don't forget to get your orders in, as we're sure with a little love and support this will do very well for you.
Nada Surf made this record and are putting it out themselves because they love these songs and they love the record stores that have been so good to them over the years. Simply put, this is a record for the record stores.

Also out on June 8th is the new Hot Hot Heat album 'Future Breeds' from Dangerbird Records (ADA).  It's been three years from when we last heard from Hot Hot Heat and we think you'll like where they've landed.
 
"On Future Breeds, Hot Hot Heat returns to its roots both metaphorically and literally with a hot-wired and proud party album throbbing with spontaneity and creativity.  When the band began writing Future Breeds, they sought to recapture the energy and sheer love for the art form that drove the late-nineties Vancouver punk scene from which Hot Hot Heat emerged" (dangerbirdrecords.com).
